This website pulls all commits from the Backdrop CMS core repository and automatically creates user accounts with all the respective statistics to quantify committers' contributions and visualize them on individual profile calendars.
The project's goal is to define stakeholders in Backdrop core contribution, to visualize the weight of each stakeholders' group and individual contributions, and also to stimulate additional contributions to Backdrop core.
The activity calendar in the footer reflects all commits ever made by all contributors to the core repository beginning from 22:27:23 Saturday, August 31, 2013 when Nate Lampton (quicksketch) diverged Drupal's code into what consequently became Backdrop CMS.
GitHub-style design was chosen to demonstrate the power of Backdrop theme development. It can be replaced by a new theme at later stages.
